The easiest fly mesh colour to see through is black, which comes as standard with The Shutter Studio. Black works well as a mesh colour because darker materials absorb the light, where lighter materials reflect it, which can make them harder to see through.

For the best visibility, choose a black or darker coloured mesh. Choose a white or lighter coloured mesh for reduced visibility.

How you clean and maintain your fly screen will depend on the type of fly screen you have and the intensity of use.

Generally, though, the following steps should help to keep your screens in good condition:

1. Remove the screen and shake it to remove dust or debris.
2. Gently wipe the screen using a soft brush, a damp cloth, or a vacuum cleaner. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive brushes or cloths, as this may damage the screen.
3. Rinse the screen with water and let it dry completely.
4. Reinstall the screen.

Additional tip: If the screen is torn, worn or faded, consider replacing it.
