Our
Dedicated to a greener future
At The Shutter Studio we are dedicated to a greener future, committed to reducing our carbon footprint and improving sustainability to benefit our staff, customers and the environment. We have already introduced a number of initiatives which we continue to develop to become even more eco-friendly.
What we are doing
1. Reducing CO2
For every order placed we plant a tree to help offset carbon emissions. The majority of our surveying team also drive electric cars, with more being introduced as the team grows. Furthermore, our factory is run by renewable energy generated by solar panels which helps reduce air pollution.
2. Supporting responsible forestry
We use FSC-certified and sustainably-sourced timbers for shutters. This includes Paulownia wood, one of the best eco-friendly sustainable hardwoods available.
3. Reducing waste
We use a baling machine to compress all cardboard packaging in our warehouse, which is disposed of by a local recycling company. We also recycle other forms of foam and plastic.
4. Supporting the environment
We have electrified some of our vehicle fleet to reduce our carbon footprint and are making use of solar panels at our facilities wherever possible, such as in our UK factory.
