Although PVC is also a fantastic option for its durability and is actually designed with an Aluminium core, it is not built to withstand harsher weather conditions, whereas Aluminium shutters can. Some of the Aluminium paint options are weather-resistant and are designed to be used outside, for exterior windows but also garden pergolas and more!
Are aluminium shutters resistant to rust?
Yes, as a whole aluminium shutters resistant to rust, but it depends on the range you choose. We offer two ranges of aluminium shutters, but only one is specifically designed for external use. This is because our other range features a satin paint finish, which is not as durable when exposed to outdoor elements like UV rays and moisture. Although the shutters themselves will not damage, the finish of the paint will.
Our external aluminium shutters are built to withstand harsh weather conditions while maintaining their strength, security, and aesthetic appeal. If you’re looking for shutters for outdoor use, we recommend choosing from our Gloss paint finishes for the best long-term performance.
