If you are looking for shutters or blinds to enhance your home, The Shutter Studio is the go-to company for all your window dressing needs, whatever their shape or size. Our service includes everything from measuring up and manufacture through to installation and aftercare of your blinds and shutters, and it’s all handled in-house. Alternatively, if you are a dab hand at DIY, The Shutter Studio can supply you the shutters so you can fit them yourself.

Our headquarters are in West Malling, Kent where we also manufacture our own wooden shutters. This means we have full control over production lead times and quality, providing customers with the best product as quickly as possible. The Shutter Studio have also two showrooms in Sevenoaks, Kent and Shirley in Croydon, allowing you to see the quality of our products and speak to a member of our team. And if you are unable to visit us, we can visit you, we offer a complete site survey service for homeowners as well as businesses, across Surrey, London, Berkshire, Sussex and Kent.

Our company timeline
2011
The Allsop family
Father and son team Lance and Adam Allsop establish The Shutter Studio. Daniel Allsop joins the family business shortly after.
2012
The first showroom
The Shutter Studio opens its first showroom in Shirley in the London Borough of Croydon, taking on its first employees.
2014
The second showroom
Our second showroom opens on Beckenham High Street, expanding our team and customer base.
2019
Quality is our priority
We make the decision to move away from using MDF and start creating beautiful hardwood shutters, which are more stable and environmentally friendly.
2020
Our new head office in Wrotham
We close our Beckenham showroom during the first Covid-19 lockdown and move to a new head office and warehouse in Wrotham, Kent.
2022
UK-made shutters
A busy year. We open a new showroom in Polhill Garden Centre in Sevenoaks to expand our product offerings in Kent. Expansion leads us to move our head office and warehouse team to a larger facility in West Malling, Kent, where our factory is based. Our manufacturing team starts preparing for the launch of our UK-made shutters and our product range also expands to include awnings and fly screens.
2023
UK-made shutters
We begin the production of our UK-made shutters and in late 2023 install a state of the art CNC machine to increase capacity and production.
2024
Premium range shutters and smart blinds
We have a lot to celebrate, with our second year of trading at Polhill Garden Centre and 14 years at Shirley. We are also introducing our premium range of shutters and smart blinds as well as launching our brand new website.
2025
Our new Managing Director
This year, we have welcomed our new managing director Ben who has already made some huge, positive company impacts, bringing his wealth of knowledge to our whole team.We also began our work on expansion, introducing work into Franchising and increasing our product range, team, and UK-made range.
2026
A year of milestones
So far this year, we’re moving all our teams together in a brand new Kent HQ, creating a space to work, collaborate, and welcome customers under one roof. On top of that, we’re celebrating 15 years of serving our clients – a moment to reflect, thank everyone who’s supported us, and look forward to the next chapter.

In 2026, we’re proud to have expanded our presence across Thames Valley & South Buckinghamshire, as well as Surrey & South West London, bringing our trusted approach to even more homeowners across the region.
