Why choose
Venetian blinds?
Easy to clean
Just like Shutters, Venetian blinds are straightforward to clean, with their flat slats making it easy to remove everyday dust with a simple microfibre cloth. Faux wood or Aluminium options are particularly well-suited to bathrooms and kitchens, as they are water-resistant and can be cleaned with a damp cloth where needed.
Advanced light control
Just like shutters, you can angle the slats to control the amount of light coming into your room without having to open the blinds completely. With the additional pull cord, you do also have the option to open the blinds to reveal the full view from your window.
Adjustable privacy
Venetian blinds allow you to angle the slats to limit people seeing into your home whilst still letting daylight filter through. This makes them especially useful for windows that face roads, neighbouring properties or overlooked gardens.
Versatile
Our Venetian blinds are available in a wide range of materials such as Wood, Faux wood and Aluminium, allowing you to choose the perfect match to complement each room, from cosy homes to contemporary office spaces. We also have a large choice of colour finishes and slat sizes to suit your unique interior style.
Timeless appeal
Venetian blinds have been gracing our homes for many years. A classic staple, they don’t go out of fashion. Having been popular for so long, I think it’s safe to assume they’re here to stay.
Smooth operator
Venetian blinds are easy to operate and control, with a choice of manual operation with a cord or wand as well as motorised options which can be controlled remotely. Motorisation makes adjusting your blinds easier, particularly for hard-to-reach windows or multiple blinds across a room.

Venetian Blinds for offices
Venetian blinds are a great choice for commercial areas, helping with light, glare and privacy. Some areas we often install this blind style are offices, meeting rooms and shop fronts where the adjustable slats can be easily operated by hand or remote.
It’s important for staff and customers that commercial spaces are comfortable and elements like light and temperature are well-controlled and Venetian blinds are a great option for a nice balance of style and practicality.

FAQs
Do Venetian blinds block out light?
Venetian blinds are a great blind design to give you flexible control over the amount of natural light entering your home whilst keeping your space private, rather than completely block it out. The slats are easily adjustable, with a tilt rod or remote control but some light may still filter through the gaps between the slats, even when they are fully closed. This makes Venetian blinds a great choice for living rooms, kitchens and home offices where adjustable light control is important but, they may need to be paired with blackout curtains if being used in bedroom spaces.
How long do Venetian blinds take to be made and fitted?
Lead times for Venetian blinds are roughly 4-6 weeks from the date of ordering. This is the same for all styles: motorised, perfect fit or free-hanging. As our blinds are made to measure, we’ll confirm the expected lead time when you place your order and our team will keep you informed throughout the process and get in touch to arrange your installation.
Which Venetian blinds are best?
Which Venetian blind is the best depends on the room and what suits the style and practicalilty that you are looking for. For instance, fauxwood Venetian blinds are best in kitchens and bathrooms due to their moisture resistance. Perfect-fit Venetian blinds are an excellent choice for customers who may want a no-drill option and something that sits within a door or window frame rather than free-hanging.
If you’re unsure which blinds are best for your home and specific needs, speak to one of our experts today.
How do you close Venetian blinds for privacy?
To maximise privacy with Venetian blinds, we recommend doing the following:
During the day: Tilt the slats down facing the floor so light comes in but from the outside, people walking by cannot see into your home.
Night: Close the slats flat completely. Keep in mind that when interior lights are brighter than the outside, silhouettes or shapes can sometimes be seen through angled slats, so fully closing them or adding curtains offers maximum security and privacy.
How much should Venetian blinds cost?
Venetian blinds are a relatively inexpensive option, although prices completely vary depending on window size, material and if you choose additional features such as motorised operation. If you have rough dimensions and know roughly a style you are looking for, we advise you use our contact form to get in touch with our team – provide the rough dimensions and our team can give you an initial price before visiting your home for a consultation.
Depending on your budgets, we also have 0% finance option.

How are Venetian blinds installed, and how long does fitting take?
The installation process depends on the type of Venetian blind you choose. Free-hanging Venetian blinds are typically fitted using brackets secured to the top of the window recess, depending on the window and installation requirements. Perfect Fit Venetian blinds are designed to fit neatly within compatible, uPVC window frames, simply clipping into the window, without the need for drilling into the frame. Motorised options may require additional setup, especially if you prefer a mains-powered option.
Installation times vary depending on the number and type of blinds being installed, but our team will explain what to expect when arranging your fitting date.
Venetian blinds or Shutters? What's the difference?
Both Venetian blinds and shutters offer various benefits and are both stylish ways to control natural light and privacy while complementing your home’s interior.
Venetian blinds feature adjustable horizontal slats just like shutters, giving you flexibility throughout the day, alongside a wide choice of colours, finishes and customisation options. For a more traditional, shutter-inspired appearance, decorative tapes can be added to selected Venetian blind styles. These create a more defined, coordinated finish that can look visually similar to shutters from both inside and outside your home.
Shutters are very similar to Venetians, but are a fixed option that can’t be easily removed and have more of a blackout finish so it completely depends on your independent needs and budgets, as to which solution is best for you.
