The frequency of charging your battery-powered blinds can all depend on the size of your blinds and how often they are used. In most cases, rechargeable electric blinds typically only need to be charged every 6 months with normal use. Some systems can last even longer between charges. Your blinds can be conveniently recharged using the supplied charger, without needing to remove them from the window.
Do electric blinds need to be plugged in?
Not necessarily. We offer both Battery-powered and mains-powered electric blinds. Where possible, we offer battery-powered blinds as a convenient wireless solution, with the rechargeable battery discreetly housed within the blind or motor. This means there is no need to connect every blind directly to a power socket and can be recharged without the need to remove the blinds.
How much do electric blinds cost?
The cost of electric blinds can completely vary depending on the size and style of blind, fabric choice, motorisation and control options selected. How do electric blinds work?
Electric blinds use a discreet motor to open, close and adjust the position of your blinds at the touch of a button. Depending on the system selected, they can be operated using a remote control, smartphone, wall switch or smart home technology such as voice control. Our remote controls are very simple with an up, down and stop button to control the blinds to however suits you.
Can I control multiple electric blinds at the same time?
Yes. Multiple electric blinds within one room can be grouped together and operated using a single remote control to be operated simultaneously or individually. This makes it easy to control several blinds at once, especially in places like bedrooms or living rooms where you need quick and convenient light or privacy control.
How do you maintain electric blinds?
Electric blinds are designed to be low-maintenance and easy to look after just as all of our fabric blinds. Regularly dusting or gently vacuuming the fabric helps keep your blinds looking their best, while a soft, dry cloth can be used to clean the brackets/cassettes. As the motorised mechanism is enclosed within the blind, there is very little maintenance required but if you have any issues with the motors or mechanisms over time, please contact our team for assistance.
