Can plantation shutters be repaired?
Yes, they can! Our repair service is available exclusively for The Shutter Studio customers and for shutters that were supplied and installed by our team.
We know many people find us while looking for help with other brands, but each manufacturer varies with materials, finishes, and paint colours – meaning we wouldn’t be able to guarantee a perfect match.
If your shutters were installed by us and need a little care and attention, we’re here to help. Whether it’s a loose or broken slat, a damaged panel, or even removing and refitting your shutters while you get new windows, our team can get them looking great again.

Plantation shutter servicing
Our team will carry out a service of your shutters to ensure the louvres open and close freely. They will check that the shutter panels are hinged correctly, so they stay in place and don’t swing into your room. Additionally, they will adjust closures, magnets and panel alignment, ensuring your window shutters function as they should.
Broken slat (louvre) repairs
Shutter slats occasionally break if cheaper materials are used, such as MDF. They can also break from general wear and tear, or may get damaged by pets. To replace a broken louvre, we can carry out a slat replacement for you but please note, our replacement may have a slight difference in colour and/or material.

Frame replacement
Shutter frames can also get damaged, so if you need yours replaced simply give us a call. As part of this service we will often replace hinges, magnets and any other shutter hardware to ensure your frames are in the best condition. If you would like to carry out the work yourself then we can also post new frames.
